Following the sell out success of his own national tour, Jeff Wayne has licensed this exciting new arrangement of The War of the Worlds.

Arranged for concert band, rock group, choir and solo artists by Chris Higgins, this ground br e aking piece has never before been performed in this context. The work depicts H.G.Wells' novel of a Martian invasion and gives the listener a vivid picture of the book through music and song and narration. Originally a double vinyl album and released in 1978, it has spent the past 3 decades charting in 22 countries and has sold over 14 millions copies, remaining the most consistently best selling album of the entire Sony/BMG catalogue. The opening  chords being as globally recognisable as Beethoven's 5th , the work has spawned international credit and won two Ivor Novello awards.

A spectacular evening of audio and visual entertainment pooling the talents of over 80 young musicians and actors, this proves to be an event not to be missed.

Tickets are available online from www.the-theatre.org or the Box Office on 01372 365141. They are also available direct from KYCB through Chris Mapleton chrismapleton@hotmail.com (preferable as we don't pay box office commission!)
